• Q: Since prices on details vary, how do
you decide how much to charge?
• A: All prices vary depending on size of vehicle, interior type (fabric,
leather, suede, vinyl, plastic, etc), current condition of vehicle and
customer requests.
• Q: Why is auto detailing expensive?
• A: Most people don’t understand how extensive fully detailing a vehicle
is. The materials used aren’t cheap and the tedious steps to treat each
specific area of the car take a lot of time, concentration and can’t be
rushed. In most cases a Basic Full Detail Package on a car takes me around
6-9 hours. Cheaper services are offered and I’d be willing to work with
any customer to customize a detail package based on their budget. If
you’re looking for a less extensive cleaning I offer the Express Full
Detail Package which can produce near full detail results in half the time
and money.
• Q: How long will it take to detail my car?
• A: This all depends on the current condition of the vehicle, customer
requests and when the vehicle is dropped off. Usually a Full Detail on any
vehicle will take about an entire day. The earlier it’s dropped off the
earlier it can get it done. Vehicles that are larger or getting extra
services done can expect to take more than one day in some cases.
• Q: When is the best time to drop my car off for detailing?
• A: The most convenient way that I’ve found to work with any Full Detail
is to have the vehicle dropped off in the evening and picked up the next
day in the evening. This allows me to do certain parts of the vehicle in
the evening/night and the rest the next day. This makes for less rushing
on my part to try to have a car finished in one day and less late night
pick-ups. The less I have to rush a detail the better the final result.
• Q: If I leave my vehicle there overnight will it be safe?
• A: Yes it will be fine, you’re vehicle will be stored in my garage that
is kept fully locked at all times and is about 6 feet from my house with
your keys inside my house. Parked in front of the garage door is one of
our cars making it impossible to get any car out of the garage?
• Q: Can you remove scratches and swirls from my paint?
• A: Depending on the severity of the scratches/swirls I may be able to
remove them. In most cases I have been able to remove even some of the
worst scratches/swirls using multi-step buffing with a combination of
compounds, polishes and waxes.
• Q: How often should I get my car detailed?
• A: This all depends on what your personal preference is of how clean and
presentable you’d like your car. You could get a Basic Full Detail every
month or so if you felt necessary but in most cases I recommend it be done
2-3 times a year. After any Full Detail I recommend monthly cleaning to
keep your car in good condition. I offer Express Full Details that I
recommend between Full Details.
• Q: What kind of products do you use?
• A: I use a variety of products from different brands that I’ve found to
be the most effective over the years. Some brands include Meguiar’s,
Pinnacle, Wolfgang, Mothers, Turtle Wax, 3M, P21S and many more.
• Q: When are you available for detailing?
• A: With the busy schedule I have these days the best way to find out my
availability is to e-mail or call me with your requests and I’ll do my
best to fit you in the soonest possible.
• Q: How do I know you won’t go joy riding in my car?
• A: I thought I’d throw this Q in here because for some people
(especially with nice cars) knowing their car is in safe hands is
extremely important. Having a nice car myself I’ve had this thought every
time I had to drop my car off at the dealership. Luckily with detailing
the car doesn’t need to be driven for any reason. I recommend writing your
exact mileage down when the car is dropped off and I guarantee it will not
have gone up or my services are free.
